Just intertedted to know if anyone has purchased this unit and can give a quick review? Website has not alot of information about it, in terms of photos. Thanks

A couple of big differences,
First is the the installations. This unit has the Quadlock Connector at the rear of the screen. The OEM unit has it in the glovebox, this means you will need to relocate the quadlock cabling.
Second difference is that this unit does not support the OEM USB located in the cubby hole located under the screen. It only works with the screen USB.
Lastly this does not have factory Navigation and does NOT support Android Auto.
I am sure there are more but these are the main points I found.
Rehashing an old thread - has anyone done this upgrade yet? I'm really missing not having Carplay in my Mk7 and i'm getting tired of sticking my phone in a mount every time.
Seems to be 2 options to add Carplay - this RCD520 unit for around $1100 or the MIBII unit for much much more ($2700).
We all have iPhones here so we can probably live without having Android Auto and i don't use my cars inbuilt Nav anyway so thats a tick for the cheaper option.
Anyone actually done the upgrade and were you happy with the choice?
