    My tuner told me that there's a revo Stage 2 Tune they're working on for the 1.4L that should be out mid-2021 and involves a turbo upgrade. Definitely going for that when that comes out.

    My Golf saw the dealer for its final (and only) dealer service today. Stage 1 tune is booked in for the 22nd, and new downpipes (hopefully) and exhaust (definitely) coming shortly after.

    I'm very lucky to have some good places nearby to get this work done here in Country Vic, as Melbourne is closed off to us.

    I'm not chasing any looks, in fact I want to keep the fake exhaust look lol. I'll make myself a proper thread once work starts so I don't interrupt here too much. But wanted to say thanks again for your thread as its a huge help to myself.

      I do have the manual. Just figured that since you have a Highline it will be a DSG, so the DSG tune applies to you.

        If you drive with a light foot approach to your driving, can you achieve similar economy to stock?

              Agreed, in normal driving the 110TSI tuned is better on fuel than stock. Probably 5-10% improvement.

              Driving it as it deserves to be driven, it still is pretty good on fuel. I drove it to work Monday this week (35min commute one way all city and suburb driving with a heavyish foot at the lights) and got 7.1l/100km. The R (my daily) on the same commute will do high 9s low 10s and the Mustang 18+l/100km .... which is the reason the Mustang only gets to go in maybe once a week.

                That's what I was hoping to hear. My other thought was that the DSG tune might have an effect on fuel consumption if its tuned to hold gears longer. I'm hoping APR have a Christmas sale coming up soon, will go ahead with both tunes then.

                          Intake sound is a bit deeper and the blow-off more pronounced. According to MST, even a stock diverter can be heard with this new TIP.

                          I'm expecting to be around that elusive 150kw mark now for the 110TSI. Such a nice drive now.

                            2nd off the big job of fitting the SuperNova LED headlights ....

                            This is a full bumper off job, lots of clips in weird places and lots of electrics to disconnect from sensors. It was a good learning experience though.

                                It doesn't seem like it was 22 months ago that you first posted about this but it's been great fun reading about your journey. Reminds me of all the customising I did to previous cars but these days I don't have the spare cash. Thanks for sharing!
