VW Golf Highline Mk7.5 - DUAL LED Daytime Driving Lights???

I have been advised that the inner drl is totally non functional and cannot be switched on by any means. apparently there are no leds even in the strip. VAG decided it was a point of difference be
tween the highline and the GTI/R

Are you 100% on this as the R-Design TSI in Malaysia has the functioning LED inner DRL.

I have tried inspecting the lights in mine but near impossible to be sure whether there are actual LED in the inner part of the headlight.

Double drl

I have a 2018 golf all track premium aswell however my inner drls are not on. We’re yours on from factory?

The double drl are only enabled on the golf gti,R and alltrack premium models

I think you can enable through obd11
I have the double drl on mine and its very cool the single drl looks lame in comparison

@coolbeans11: Hi. I strongly suspect that @Kachingg advice is more wishful hoping than actual reality!! Fact is that ALL VW models (regardless of whether it's an Alltrack, or Golf) are built with just the correct amount of equipment and copper!! In today's commercial world of maximizing return-to-shareholder - there ain't any free goodies in these vehicles!

So, if the inner DRLs on this car have never worked - it's far more likely that there isn't any equipment behind the inner angel-eye light-tubes.

This happens on the Golf mk7 where the GTI has 2 x angel-eyes on each car side - but the inner-pair are blank! VW marketing says that this is a "feature" of the car, rather than a limitation. VW even call this "the GTI signature" - so something of value to be desired!!
