Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I already have a list on CarSales that I am keeping my eye on!

That’s the spirit! I have often thought it would be cool to get a group together to buy and own a fleet of cool vehicles to share. Strictly week end toys so not too much use on them. Harder to be tired of them then, so they can be kept not sold.

Anyway, back on topic,it will certainly be interesting to see how VW respond to the i30N which looks set to sell in volumes that will steal buyers otherwise considering a GTI, particularly and maybe some R buyers as well.

The driving experience with the dct version when it arrives will be the big story on this as to how it stacks against the DSG Golfs

Yeah, exactly. The DSG Golf is a very impressive car and there’s not much out there (apples to apples) that can beat it in all areas.

Go the gti, add a jb4 and save the extra money. Great city car and save the bog the bruises from getting thrown around inside the R 🤪
