  • Mk6 vw Golf 118tsi manual - shuttering

    Hello,

My 2009 golf tsi manual is shuttering/shaking badly whilst taking off taking off.
If im stopped and realease the clutch slowly it also shutters.
the only way to stop it is to rev to 2000-2500rpm whilst taking off which is really annoying.
I think it may be the clutch or flywheel, however just wondeing if someone has a dignosis for this problem
    Thanks

Sounds like the flywheel, mine had the same symptoms. I recall that the price of the fix will depend a bit on whether you have a single or dual mass flywheel. From memory the single mass flywheel can be machined while the dual mass can't and needs to be replaced. Either way, if you're going to open it up down there you might as well sort both out and not worry for another 5 or so years.

Im sure someone else here will be able to tell you more or correct me if i'm wrong.
