Sweet! Do you know if they needed to install a new module? Just for future reference for anyone with a 77TSI looking to do the same upgrade.

Yep you need the high line steering wheel module and you need to code the paddles of applicable.

Good to hear a dealership happy to install a non standard part (even if we all know it fits), often they don't want to have a bar of it.

Great to hear it's all in and working

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Nice one, now you just have to get the aluminium pedals to match and maybe consider some paddle extensions

I've been looking at doing the same mod myself, so the $160 included the module as well? That's such a reasonable price.

The peddles are definitely on the list, right after I save for some nice wheels, decent tires and some coilovers for moar low.

Sure was, dunno whether they did it cheaper because the year is nearly over or what the go was, I myself was surprised.

Did you get your old module back?

Of course, old module and wheel were returned to me. But will hang onto them for the cars future owner.

Quick question for those with VW leather steering wheels, what do you use/recommend as a leather protector for the steering wheel?

It's looking like a hot summer in Melbourne so protecting my investment lol

Personally I've never treated it, but you could have a look at Carcareproducts.com or ask in the detailing forum

Went to Autobarn and asked the ever so knowledgable staff and they recommended "one that won't be shiny" (duhh) so I opted for the Meguirs leather conditioning wipes. Should've asked in the detailing forum but figured I'd ask here cos you guys seem to know your stuff.

Just used the wipes and then to reduce to shine I went over the conditioner with a microfiber towel and it came up nice and now I'm set for summer.

Next up, coilovers and Rotiform BLQ/NUE or 3SDM 0.06

From there I will most likely do the Focal speaker upgrade for MK6.
