    That's the way I used to do it when I had to change my MK5's DV before they improved them... I change three in 30,000 km. No need to take the liner out thou.

        I have the Volant/Tarmac intake also. Yes I get the whistle a lot actually as I am stage 2 (mk6 GTI).
        Im not convinced about the DV fix as said above. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, so I don't want to spend the money on a maybe!

          People have suggest to move the location of the dv .. but thats for mk5 bkt sure with mk 6 .. i would like to get more info before i start throwing more money at it
