    Both h&r and whiteline and others ALL can be track oriented if u go with extra thick one.

    When i had 22mm h&r rsb only, there was hardly any ride comfort difference.

      Im thinking of going for the H&R front and rear sway 26/22. ECS tuning has the kit for 460 dollars. Any thoughts ?

        Ask an old HQ owner - if you want more oversteer, stick a bag of concrete in the boot.

          GTI rear sway bar size

          Hi all looking to pick up a rear sway bar for my GTI. What size does everyone recommend?? 22mm, 24mm?? The car has lowered springs if that is helpful.
          Is this good bang for buck handling upgrade??

          Thanks all

            This setup was suggested on Pedders’ website and on a Whiteline youtube vid:

            BWF20XZ Whiteline 24mm Adjustable Sway Bar (Front)
            BWR21XZ Whiteline 24mm Adjustable Sway Bar (Rear)
            KCA316 Whiteline ALK

            What is the best place near the Inner West for suspension – or should I just go to pedders?

              Unless you know the guys at Pedders I wouldn't go near them as the standard of workmanship & knowledge is too variable.

              try Heasemans although you will pay for the experience.

                Thanks Brad

                Is a wheel alignment required when changing sways and/or adding ALK?

                  RARB = no

                  FARB = yes because they have to drop the crossmember and the bolts fit in the holes like a pr!ck in a shirtsleeve so it never goes back together the same.

                  ALK = yes

                  So it would be wise to do the FARB & the WALK at the same time.

                  I would strongly recommend that rather than the ALK you either do the Supaloy lower control arm kit or fit S3 alloy lower control arms & a non voided console bush.

                  For no particular reason I'm really not sold on the ALK. I think the Supaloy kit has ALK incorporated.

                    Thanks again - yep supaloy includes ALK. Almost triple the price and more labour involved though especially in a DSG car (need to drop the subframe to clear the 'box). But i'l lkeep it in mind...it looks like a nice bit of kit.

                      I got the SPM swaybar recently from DubAddiction. Well priced ($280), fits well and does the job.

                          Doesn't need aligning as nothing is undone to fit it.

                              It's 3 bolts per console housing. You might also have to undo the front bolt to give you a bit of wiggle room.

                              I'd think 1.5 - 1.8hrs including putting it on the hoist, etc
