  • Oil temp sensor fault

    Hey all new golf owner here and the screen has flashed up a fault saying oil sensor: workshop. Have had mechanic scan fault codes and it has come up saying the oil temp sensor faulty. Having trouble finding information on location and a part number. As my nearest vw dealer is 2 hours away was going to source the part my self and have mechanic install it as he doesn't do much work on the vw. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    The oil temp sensor is the same one that is oil quality and level... have a look at the bottom if your sump.. you will see the sensor there....VDUB...

      You could get the part number of the sensor in the sump visually.

        Luckily they are pretty cheap. Do an oil change and replace the sensor at the same time.

        Obviously check the part number matches before buying anything:
