1 week old GTI EPC and Catalytic Error?

Hi sorry if this has been covered else where.

I've just got a new mk6 Golf GTI and i've noticed now that when I turn the keys in the ignition (but not start) the EPC and Catalytic error lights come up! When I start the car they go away, as a first time VW owner is this something I should be worried about and calling my dealership. Or is this normal thanks.

It's normal operation. As long as they go out when the engine's running then there's no problem.
