I've just purchased a new Golf 77TSI, and notice when I turn the car on or off, or if I try and start the car without the clutch depressed the MFD panel displays various text messages - however they are in German.
The owners manual indicates that this area of the MFD may be used to display more important information in the event of faults. While the basic information messages are a non-issue, I'm worried that I may miss an important fault notification because I can't understand it.
The manual, and an internet search, indicates there's a "Settings" menu where I can change the language, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get into it - and suspect it may not be available on my model (Golf 77TSI)
Am I correct in assuming I don't have access to those functions on this model - and if so, is there any other way to change the language or will I need to take it back into the dealer?
