Every now and then new members are concerned about the number of bad things they've read around here, so let's see if we can't do a little something to help counter-balance this.

Simply state what car you have and then copy each of the following sentences that apply to you (if you have other suggestions please share):

Shhh don't say that. The dealers got my car today for the turbo clip fitment. Don't want to jinx it.

Check they put the splash plate under the vehicle back on correctly.

@mythik, I don't have any blocks to put the car on so I'll just hope they know what they are doing.

I'm getting excellent fuel economy
I'm driving a German engineered car that very much feels up market, without having paid a premium price.

To sum it up:
The car is great, absolutely love it. Even though I don't have a sports model like the GTI or R, every time I go for a drive it genuinely brings a smile to my face.. Can't explain why.. Maybe has to do with the fact that my last car was pretty s*** (Honda. lol. Never again..)

For what I need a car for, the Golf has delivered in every way, plus more.

Overall, I'm very happy with it

Engine issues - Twice while waiting at the lights, the engine has died.

MDI (usb) occasionally can't find my thumb drive. Have to re-insert the drive.
Interior issues - Lots of noise from the passenger side doors going over bumps or around corners (the stereo drowns it out ).

2 1/2 months old, 1,100 kms.

The Ashtray broke in week 2 - fixed under warranty
I've had no exterior issues, except for losing all 4 original VW centre caps within 6 months. Replacement ones still there (touchwood)

Overall, superb car and loving it as much as the day I got it

Fantastic car and I still find any excuse to drive it. I'd like the APR stage 1 but the cost is prohibiting that one.

2010 103TDI Comfort Pack

I don't have sat nav
I don't have park assist

Tailgate gas struts had to be replaced, one was leaking
Kick panel by driver's left foot dropped, fixed when both gas struts were replaced
Passenger side front window jerks when opening from fully closed position

Otherwise, I'm very happy with the car. Next car I get will certainly be a VeeDub, probably a diesel Golf, I may have to opt for the GTD since the manual gearbox is no longer an option for the 103TDI. Performance AND economy. Gotta love it.
