Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    According to Forbes in the US, the GTI is just behind the Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG for attracting the long arm of the law

    I drove a AMG C63 on Sunday for a few hours and i can tell you its vvvvereerry easy to exceed the speed limit in one of those. What a beast of a car.

        Yeah right... and Toyota Camry on the 2nd place... Definitely fits in amongst GTI and Mercedes-Benz...

          That's because Camry has been the best selling car in the US for 13 of the last 14 years. I would guess that Falcodores get the most tickets here in OZ...

              You definitely have to watch that right foot. Before you know it you are doing 60.. The first and second gear ratios are the ones that can get you pinged!!

                Depends how heavy your right foot is I guess, I get my speeding urges out of the way when I hit the track so every Friday/Saturday when I drive the bosses tuned C63 AMG I have no problems with staying under the speed limit

                  Hmmm. 7 out of 10 of those cars are driven mostly by women. Damned stilettos must be heavy.
                  If you dig a hole and it is in the wrong place, digging it deeper isn't going to help.
