I'm not exactly sure what the cause of the AM problem was. When I (and a few others) emailed them to say we had issues, they asked what our AM range in Australia was. I don't know if they identified a faulty component causing EM interference etc, or whether it's just that the product wasn't tailored to the Australian AM frequency range.
Either way, after several weeks they shipped me a new set of LEDS (and their housings). It was just a case of unplugging the existing LED housings and plugging in hthe new ones. The original resistors and cables were retained.
