                As a mechanical sympathiser, that "Really HARD tests" video just about made me cry. Poor VeeDubs!

                A friend of mine used to work as a test engineer at Mitsubishi, doing this sort of thing to Magnas all day long. He had a few interesting stories, such as when he tested the model's tolerance to repeated high-speed braking - until the pads disintegrated and the calipers fused to the rotors. Apparently he could get a car to that state in well under 10 minutes.

                Oh well, if that helps 'em make the cars stronger...

                    It would be interesting to find out how much of the "quality perception problem" stems from malfunctioning door seals/locking mechanisms etc after stocky sales blokes slam the crap out of them and doors that misalign after numerous instances of stocky sales blokes jumping up and down on them ...
