                I can do that with my daughters Hyundai which is 9 years old and a quarter of the cost. Big deal VAG

                    Actually - I don't think VAG USA would care too much. Apparently this is quite standard practice in the USA. Especially because over there VW have a big "quality perception issue".

                        Though I wonder how many of them are actually VW owners. I personally feel that the dealer network needs more work than the cars do

                            If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
