I have had good service from VW Village at Kensington, not too far away from Bondi.

If it's in warranty and he wants to have a dealer stamp in his book, then the answer is, whatever dealership is closest to his house or place of work.
Another alternative along the coast line is European Autotech at Mona Vale which is an independent who specialises in Euro cars including VW/Audi

need feedback from VW Village Sydney

I need to get my golf TSI serviced for 30000k, im looking to get it done at vw village coz they are the cheapest from a garage that knows VW's

Anyone got feedback for a particular person i should look out for? any advise or past experience

I just got my 30000km service done yesterday by a dealer in sydney About 535.00. Thought it was on the high side.

My car is up for it's 45k service and I'm a bit reluctant to take it back to my regular dealer (in Sydney) as the 35k service cost me around $750 which I thought was pretty steep.

Just wondering what other's have paid for servicing?

The 45,000km is only a oil filter and oil change and checks, i had my 45,000 done a Camden GTI and all up it only cost $220 not the over charge the dealers will hit you for $440 plus
Give Camden GTI a ring you wont be disapointed.

I merged you thread here since you're kinda asking where else to take your car, and even if you're not, it's related to NSW. If you'd used the index you would have found this already, but you'd also have found a thread there where manol had listed the 45k servicing cost of every dealer and independent in VIC, as of May 2011.

I'm a 45K service done on my golf tsi. After looking around a lot I decided to go with Barloworld Mascot, as they were the cheapest dealer $425. I also enquired at non-dealer service centres. The cheapest I was quoted was at VW Village $250.

I decided to pay the extra $175 and go to the dealer for peace of mind. But it's up to you.

Um... as per my post, I clearly said it contained VIC prices. Why? Cause it would give you a general idea of the service prices being offered in another expensive capital city...

Yes and... What's that got to do with the price of fish???
Each city will charge independantly of each other. With a dealer spread of over $154 in VIC ... It still doesn't say how much people have paid for servicing in Sydney/NSW.

Dude... each DEALER will charge independently, so if you want to take that attitude, what is the point of any of these threads? Maybe you need one for each post code Seriously... it gives you a general idea, which is all any of these threads do even if it is for the same state...

Maybe I should have just posted my 30k service cost, cause you know that's what the OP was after as well
