Hello fellow Golfers
I have entered my R into a RevFest over the May Day weekend out here in the West. The only fuel we have here is Premium 95 Octane. Do you think that by adding in some Wynns Octane boost try to achieve as close as I can to 98 octane, that should do the trick? Or will I just be happy with 95 octane?
The weekend will be around the 30 degrees and with the dry air it will be interesting what numbers I get. I will post photos and numbers after the weekend. I measured a rough 200 mtrs and got between 8.8 to 9.5 seconds with my son doing the timing.
Anyway, it will be a good weekend and I have my VW shirts and cap on hand and will be flying the VW flag for us all out in the Outback.
Cheers

. The 3 runs where against a new black Subaru Forester turbo. He was an old bloke like me and we lead the class onto the track. Having two all wheel drives up against each other was good choice - no burnouts LOL. He dialed in a 9.4 sec, so keeping cool on the line eventually gave way on the last run. His first 2 runs he was going from 2nd to 5th and I would blow him away. The last run he got 3rd and gave the little beastie a run, but we still won by 0.070 seconds. It was funny how none of the V8 lads wanted to challenge us old boys with our all wheel drive turbo rockets
