In Hong Kong at the moment, and saw a Tornado Red R32 today. Seen orange Polo's aswell, and the odd scirocco and phaeton. Pretty basic ordering specs here on VW's, am planning to at least drop into VW at Wan Chai sometime and just see how different the Chinese Golf is over my one back home. Volkswagen Hongkong

The Hong Kong Golf doesn't come from China from what I could tell when I was there...
The Chinese Golf "looks" the same, but "under the covers" there are many differences that I spotted. I should've taken more photos and stuff when I was in Dalian for a few weeks last year.
(didnt mean it in the way they were built in china) They have different platforms here, where all you can spec basically is just the colour. The rest is set, with no options available. They get alot more Colours here, plenty of Blue and Red Golfs getting around, Orange Polo's and Dark Blue Golf R's.
I do like their Golf GT offered here too, basically just a Sports Pack for Australia but with a much better badge on the back oh and everything has Fog Lights, and alot have Sun Roofs too. No Polo GTI for HK either.

From what I saw last year in China, the Mk6 GTIs over there has 147kw, so I assume it's running the old EA113 motor like in the US. There are only two specs available for the GTI I believe. But the 2011 ones apparently have LED taillights...

The US model still gets the TSI EA888, just like we do. In fact, they got the TSI toward the end of the MkV's model cycle IIRC. However the US spec has a different tune to Europe/Australia/etc - possibly due to the minimum RON rating of their fuel.
