With my car due for its first scheduled service next week I checked the service schedule booklet again and to my understanding of pages 7 - 9 it says that the vehicle requires the 'oil change' schedule of work performed every 12 months/15000km and the 'inspection service' schedule of work every 2 years or 30,000 km plus a few other time/distance items (brake fluid, plugs, etc)
My reading of the schedule would indicate just an oil change service is due first time round. The dealer wants to do perform the inspection service (more money for them) and an email to VWA has elicited an ambiguous response.
How do other people interpret the service schedule, ie what work is required at the first 12 months/15,000 km?
