I'd be back at the dealer before yo can say "park assist". There is obviously something wrong with the car's electronics. And they need to fix it. Simple as that!

Hehe - if there's a plus sign, I've never seen the law enforced - they must all be too busy staring at their new handheld PC's that tell alert them the second you've overstayed your parking time limit.

UPDATE:
Well I got my car looked at this week by my dealers servicing department. The problem turned out to be that the front sensors where not connected correctly at the time of manufacturer. They told me that you could touch them and the wiring would fall off. So they have connected them all up correctly and now everything is working properly. Thankfully it wasnt anything serious which required new parts to be ordered from Germany. Not sure why it impacted on the rear camera - but its working now.
I am still waiting on a response regarding the wheel scratch. I havent asked for a new wheel, just VW to cover the cost to repair. I know about all the disclaimers etc which VW put, but I think i have a case considering it was proven that the sensors were not correctly installed at time of manufacturer. I even tried the PA assist again at the same location as where it scratched - (front of my house) and after 5 goes it not once hit the curb. Anyway no harm in putting in a claim and seeing if VW will help with the costs.MY15 Golf 7R 5 door, Tornado Red, DSG, Panoramic Sunroof & Leather.

Parallel Park Assist
Parallel Park Assist is playing up....I had my car serviced for the first time the 2, 3 weeks ago and I think that they have put new software which disabled parallel park assist from the drivers side. When I had the car originally delivered the car was able to do parallel park assist at a touch of a button passenger or drivers side..now it only works on the passengers side not the drivers side. I was driving in a one way street where the parks where on the drivers side space was more than enough reversed few times seems scans just don't pick up...Does anyone know if VW Australia disables this when you service your car? Also my daytime driving lights were enabled now they have disabled them...I guess that's not too much of a problem..any info on any of these before I go and see my service centre?GTI carbon steel g, leather, mdi, A.C.C., park parallel assist & RVC, dynaudio, sunroof, R-tails, RNS510, 9WZ, LED reg

From my understanding Oz delivered park assist should only be able to park on the passenger's side, as is the case with my car. They may have delivered the car with a wrong software when you first picked it up. As for DRLs you can turn it on via the stalks. Refer to you manual.MkVI Golf GTI | Candy White | DSG | Leather | Bi-xenon | Sunroof | Dynaudio | Park Assist | MDI | Tint | FINALLY RECEIVED!!

Actually from my experience, by default it's the passengers side. To have it scan on the drivers side, you need to turn you signal indicators to the drivers side and then park assist will change it's scan to the right.
