What Accessories are you buying for your MK6 Golf?
Probably... I don't notice that they're yellowish though.
They have several brightness levels. "Parker" mode (when engine isn't on, but ignition is), DRL mode (when headlights are off), and then I believe they go back to parker mode when the Xenons come on. Are you looking at them when they're in DRL mode and they look yellow?
Didn't get any floor or boot mats yesterday - didn't think about it. Then started looking at getting them but apparently they are over $250 each. Where can you pick up some floor and boot rubber mats for MK6 Golf (OEM?)? Is there any other places you can get them from besides dealership?
Ok. I get that the Golf VI 77 TSI is short on factory options.
But it's such a zippy drive and a good value for money solution that it seems a shame to skip it altogether.
So aftermarket accessories:
If I wanted reverse sensors with a large color screen head unit with reverse camera, it shouldn't be too difficult, right?
Any recommendations for an affordable and reliable installer in Brisbane area?
Also, what aftermarket speakers can fit in the doors? I've been looking at an Esotec based Dynaudio 2-way speaker but that uses a 6.5" woofer and if the VI doors are like the V's there doesn't seem to be space for a woofer of this size. Has anyone done this?
I'm not looking for a boombox. Just a JL Audio XD amp driving a 2 way component system.
Been looking on eBay at floor mats for Golf MK6, and can't find any genuine ones. I found some MK5 which have "oval" fitting but MK6 have "round" clips. Stupid question: did anyone get MK5 mats and made a hole rounded (with filer/sander) to fit your MK6?
I needed rear floor mats for my Golf 6, went to the dealer and paid $70. Bit high, but a perfect fit (there were no holes or clips unlike the front mats though (not really necessary imo).
Well,it's not much of an accessory, bit I've just ordered my new plates...MKVI R.
"XCITEU"will now be put to rest. Surely there's someone out there in QLD who would want them?? Cmon guys, help me out!
Well even Dave said its thicker than the stuff he uses, and yeah I know..
Not much is legal these days
I have a white Golf getting delivered Wednesday went only for the darkest legal tint (not as good looking as yours). I know I'm paying an extra $100 to go through the dealer but if it stuffs up they will need to fix it.
Got myself 4 floor mats - front and rear (with Golf logo on it and round clips) and boot rubber mat with the "lip" and "Golf VI" imprinted on it. All together for $180. Can't complain about it at all. The place I got it from are actually making floor mats for all local dealerships in the city, that apparently being thrown in for free in one of those super-duper deals that sales guys are offering.
Looking at getting a car holder such as Belkin TuneBase Direct or similar for my iPhone 4. Can anyone confirm that it will work with iPhone 4, seen many saying that it works with 3G and 3GS? Or maybe another alternative? Just want charger and holder in one, but without sticking in to the window or vent.
What other accessories do people usually add to their car ?
Bought a set of roof racks (Prorack) and a ski/board carrier (Rhinorack) for the inevitable snow trips this season, they did their job on a daytrip up to Mt Buller on the weekend, though they whistle a lot at speed...
Any R owners tried fitting a set of chains yet (RUD Centrax etc.)?
