Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    There are these Storage - Seat Drawer [1K0882602] - $105.00 : OEMplus.com, Original Equipment

They seem to be for the Mark VI..

I've heard though if you have the Bluetooth and\or Dynaudio upgrades the under seat drawers wont fit. Can anyone comment on this as I wouldn't mind the drawers myself but have both these.

The poweramp for the Dynaudio sits under the passenger seat. I would very much doubt you'd get an under-seat drawer in there with it fitted.

You don't have a passenger seat drawer? Mine came with one from the factory. It doesn't interfere with the Dynaudio amp, which sits on the floor and is covered by a plastic shroud - you wouldn't even know it's there. The under seat drawer is top hung and only about 10cm deep by 20cm long. Enough for iPod, wallet, keys - but not much else. I've used it once.

I would've figured that there's more room for storing stuff under the seat without the draw installed???

Yes it can. Not sure if it would fit if you have the electric drivers seat though. I checked underneath mine and the motor doesn't look like it would impinge, but I can't be sure.

In my MKV GTI, I could fit my size 9 shoes underneath the seat... So yeah, much more space than the drawers - however, there isn't really anything for stopping lose objects from moving around to other areas of the foot wells

Vag-Com cable just purchased. Now just need to get the car and figure out what to do with it. Damn impulse purchases!

I already have the S2T DSG paddles from the earlier group buy.
I also have a genuine VW MDI to iThingy cable that was donated by a friend of mine who has now moved to Android.
I have ordered a Carbonio air intake (friend of mine is visiting his parents in the US in November, so I've ordered it shipped to their place for US$250, and my friend will bring it back for a nice bottle of red).
Which I should have thought about before I ordered my VCDS cable and saved most of the US$59 shipping from Ross-Tech, but too late for that now as it's already shipped.

Will also pick up a VW rubber boot mat and possibly luggage net when I get the car.

That will probably do me - at least initially. Those dead-pedal covers from OSIR do look rather nice...

                          I have done the following:

                          - VW Cargo net
                          - OSIR O-rest
                          - stainless steel seat inserts
                          - Automatic hatch pop kit.

Wouldn't mind the GTI floor mats, but are a bit pricey.

Gonna request one of these thrown in, always handy to have. Out of interest what did it cost you?

Speaking of accessories, had a call from a "pre delivery" person at my dealer today who clearly had no idea because she tried to sell me reverse sensors on the R.....

I have the orig version (new ones have a zip and you can put stuff inside the net too).. it was ~$90 from spare parts.

Am still thinking of the GTI pedal clip-ons - but someone told me that non-stock metal pedals are illegal/unroadworthy. Of course, it shouldn't be hard to unclip them again, but has anyone heard similar?
