I have seen this discussed before here. I believe that you can't change the "lane change flash" in your settings.....so be like me, see it as a challenge to get your lane change done before the 3rd flash.
I'm sure many drivers would rather see you change lanes in a controlled and safe manner rather than trying to beat the "3 flashes".

Personally think 3 is too many as it is and have turned mine off. Not hard to hold it manually either way but will have to check the available options in VCDS.
As others have said. The "Comfort Turn" signals can be enabled or disabled in the MFD setup menu. If you need more than 3 signals for a particular maneuver then you can "hold" the indicator for the additional blinks. However, you can use VCDS to update it to either 4 or 5 blinks
I'm guessing that changing the 3 lane flash as well as the Auto Sunroof Closing when raining (as per the other thread) will all have to be activated in the Golf R also. Is it a time consuming process using the VAG-COM or could it be something you could request the dealer to do when you go to collect your new car?
