Anyway poking aside, how is your Black B!tch ..? Scared any tourrists lately
lovin the Black pal, getting to really know the car now... haven't gone up against a 'hat' yet. I'll have to not have a scotch one Friday night and take the beast down and do a few circuits, maybe attract some attention. Had a dealer function on the Goldie a few weeks ago, took the Black. They parked it out front for two days next to the Bentleys etc.
Bought a 32gb hdsd Card for it and now have 8 days of music to listen to... really appreciate the sound system. Really, I can not fault the car once S1 was done. love taking people for a burn, hear their laughter over the thrum as I put the foot down..
you've had yours now for a few weeks, still feeling the love?
When you say "making it look a lot more deeper" worx, do you mean the white car or the blue car?
Maybe detailers recommend just using a sealant on white as the "plastic" effect which many like to avoid on coloured cars actually brings out the shine in a white car better than many waxes. That opinion also seems to be that of the local Dodojuice distributor (unless I've misunderstood them).

Yes every drive is a joy, gave a mate a drive and he hasn't stopped smiling and trying every angle to work out how to get one past his missus.. Truly love the DSG, was worried about it from all the chatter going on here but I just don't get what the problem is, figure it is people's expectations of an auto box. It is just so smooth through the gear changes, what I like is how it responds in cruise control up and down hills it changes so seemlessly.
It is only a week and half old and done 1300 kays.. I am waiting for the engine to loosen up and that wonderful exhaust note to increase..

I did 2,500 KM in the first four days, the exhaust note does get a little louder. More turbo sounds etc. It was still lame. So I tuned the **** out of it.
I am hoping it is like fine Red Wine, it matures with age... I don't feel a real need to apply additives to try and enhance it further than it's creator intended...
Feel free to check back in 12 months

Help the exhaust note along a little...Pinch and cable-tie the vacuum house that goes to the valve on the rear muffler and Snap, Crackle and Pop will accompany you right off idle!
Oh and just like you help a Fine Red Wine release it's aroma's etc be decanting it, you can also help a Fine Blue GolF R by modifying it!!!
Absolutely loving my Golf R and hearing the Miss' scream when it come's on boost!!
Not at all. As long as you pinch the hose, cable-tie it and leave it connected (incase pinching doesn't completely block the pipe) then it is perfectly fine. That way if it gets too noisy for you, you can always just remove the cable-tie and it's back to normal.

Nope. No current VW head unit can receive digital radio in Australia.
It's available in the UK, but it wouldn't surprise me if Australia's politicians made the same mistake they did with digital TV and set their own standards which "aren't quite compatible" with what standards one of the major regions (USA, EU, etc) developed, therefore denying Australians of quality and affordable products which are available to the rest of the world...
I just have to metnion this observation, The DSG is an Auto. There is no denying it. Even on the VW invoice I looked up in europe (the one that tells you what parts are on your car), it says "Fitted with auto gearbox".

Yes? eh where did this come from? I think everything knows this. It shifts as a auto, so it is?
I figure he's only trolling for a rise... you know, the fact that it's not a traditional Automatic torque-converter gearbox, but it is an an mechnical/electronic automated manual gearbox. Been discussed ad-nauseum numerous times.
