Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Any reason you went for camber and not caster in the front?2010 Golf R - 3dr - Manual - Rising Blue - MDI - SatNav - Milltek TBE

havent seen much about R rattles.. moreso GTI rattles..
but has anyone been bugged by a rattle in their R yet?
ive done 450km and noticed one that started on the weekend from the passenger side dash. sounds like static radio from behind the glovebox/air vent/pillar.. more pronouned when cold at about 1500 thru all gears, but has also been there when fully warmed up. hoping it's just a loose wire or something simple!

What a waste buying the upgraded sound system was, I turned the RNS510 on for the first time this morning on the way to work, magnificent sound out of the 10 speakers, easy to use - works well, BUT I turned it back off!!!!, rather hear the beautiful sound of the 2ltr in S mode doing its thing...Black 3dr, DSG, ACC, 19" Black Talladega's, Heaps of Goodies - Double Tint - APR Stage 1 - Delivered and Lovin' my R

Apparently, the APR intake doesn't increase the sound dramatically but will make a difference - It cost me around $300 from the US.GOLF R Stage 2+

Having finally received my R I wish to replace my rear diffuser. Any ideas on the best way to do this? The replacement diffuser is apparently an exact copy of the OEM diffuser, but by the looks of it, it just clips on with no screws. Is it a simple process of pulling the diffuser off at certain angles etc?United Grey R: All the accessories (leather, not Recaro's though), S2P paddles, Kuftech DVD in motion. Carbon grill, mirrors and diffuser awaiting to be fitted.

I removed those little winglets things on the guards last night that are fitted to cars with 19's. The front ones were a b1tch as they have some serious hold double sided tape which I'll have to cleanup and a single screw (using a security type bit).
Full lock left hander into work with a fair bit of bumps (and ACC in sport) and it rubbed same as before. Guess the wheels are just a bit too big for the car? At least it looks better!
