Its definitely at the Port, can't guarantee it's on a boat yet though. It usually takes a week or so from when it actually gets onto a boat to the time you can track it online. Funny auld system we have! It's not far though....
Awesome news, thanks Dermot.

Dermot are you sure mine is on the water or very close to it? It doesnt show up when i put the Vin Number in the online tracker and the last update i received stated it had only recently passed checkpoint 8. If it is on a vessel already i'll be over the moon, please say it is

That is very true, my vehicle did not show on the ship's manifest until Friday night, so don't sweat Prodigy, give it a week or so
I'm very excited for everyone who has their new rides arriving soon
Shakesphere & Prodigy's cars are on water, or close to it, along with mine.... I believe Jason's is also on water, so there is 4 from us alone... I just want mine.... hurry up already...
Yeah mine is on the Faust, 7-8 more days until it hits South Africa then it was due in Fremantle on the 1/11/2010 now the 2/11/2010 hopefully it doesn't sit in customs for too long! wait is killing me
for those with cars imminent it is worth the wait .My car just clicked on to 2000km and to me it is the complete car.the practicality of a hatch and the q car looks just highlighted by the body kit and 19 in wheels make it acceptable in any company, without being too in your face .
It is the driving however which never fail to put a smile on my dial.Highlights are the exhaust which despite some negative comments from r32 owners is to my ears a great combo of snarl and burble but not too intrusive. The awd gets the power down so effortlessly and particularly in wet and greasy conditions compared to my prev mk 5 gti . The power available with the merest flex of your right foot is just so usable and intoxicating!unsure why people want/need to chip it.fuel consumption is good about 10l/100km although recent country trip got 8.5 .Faults?would have liked more interior colour options ,but I suppose Audi need to justify the $20,000 premium for their inferior s3 by offering you nicer leather colours .

There's a bunch of us with cars in 3 separate ships that have just left the German port of Bremerhaven in the past few days. My ship, the Morning Camilla is in the North Sea, just above the northern most point of The Netherlands, on her way to Zeebrugge in Belgium.
I'm on the same boat, hadn't checked the tracker until now. That has made my day!

Ditto...but would thoroughly recomend stage 1 at least.
Completes the Golf R totally!!!

Yeah I might look into Stage 1 later on. Only concerns are extra stress on the engine, shortening its lifespan and possible warranty/servicing issues. Might leave it a bit and wait for more input from those that have it done to their R's to see how it pans out for them.

Indeed great feedback.. I like the interior colours, I guess thats why the clth seats look more at home than the leather as it ties it all together.

I wouldnt worry about stress.. given the OZ model is detuned and the chip would take it to Euro Spec. All the internals have been built to accommodate more than the current power output.. Anyways I cant see the need for it at the moment but give it a year..

I thought Euro spec was 199kW, not 239kW?
and it's "safer" there due to better fuel and cooler conditions.
Having said that, i personally think the APR stage 1 is "safe", it's been well tested on the S3, and APR have a good reputation that they will want to continue.
The main question is around defects with the engine itself, as VW may point to the retune as the cause, even if that is not the case.
would be rather difficult to prove one way or the other.
I'd like to get a few thousand k's on my engine first, just to be sure it's settled in and any hidden gremlins are found.
