2. Running in process. Yes I've read the 1001 forum threads and guides on here about it. Largely people say - DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT. Can anyone who drove it like grandma comment on the outcome after the 15k service?
-Mythik.
I did it as per the manual, used about half litre of oil up to 14,000ks. Seems this method is OK, here is my 0-100 time with APR stage 2. Not necessarily the only benchmark of the best way to run-in your car.
I'm not sure you'll have much luck selling the 19's, but either way, I say keep em. They're great. Are you going to track the car and need another set of wheels? There's definitely room to move in terms of width, offset and weight. Looks aren't high on my list, personally...
I can't comment on your running in question because I'm only at 6000.

Colour is right fake cow is wrong kicks are fine if you like a harsher ride and bigger turning circle with an eyewatering tire replacement cost

Mythik, did you ask for an opinion on the colour or interior of your car?
Even if you change wheel diameter or width, you'll still have the big turning circle, because it's due to the steering being limited at the factory, lock to lock.

Yes, that was highlighted at our VW Driving Experience day where the GTI's could do a 180 easily on the track where the Golf R often had to do a 3 point turn to avoid going on the wet grass when doing the slaloms.

I think the R with factory 18's will still have a bigger radius than the GTI due to AWD.
