Stage II doesn't necessarily give a huge increase in peak numbers. It seems to flatten and widen the powerband and make it sound full of awesome

Agree, as you have mentioned before it's not just the the peak numbers that are important but moreso the extra responsiveness (and does sound good).

Why do you want to hold revs on longer corners? One of the benefits of the DSG is the ability to change gears mid corner without upsetting the car like you would in a manual.

Cause I would just like to. Maybe so I can stay on constant revs without needing to upshift .

Why bother with the intercooler $$$$, downpipe $$$ and instake $$ when it will make little difference to the power but will make it obvious to Volkswagen that the car is modified and they may look further when warranty claims are made.

Thats something you have to consider for yourself when you want to spend on mods.

How do you think tuners make their power gains? They up fuel delivery and boost amongst others. The intercooler, dp and intake will make bugger all for a much bigger outlay.

They make power on VW's very similar to all the cars I have modded. Up boost, tune, air intake and Intercooler, fuel pump if needed. And if its a good base car like an STI or Skyline, these cars can make fantastic power gains form the mods alone.

Not true, a motors sweet spot, is not 3000kms. You shoulld know that If your going to write a post pretty much dedicated to attacking what I want to do/being a smart ass.
