It's in the radiator assembly... pictures care of APR:
Note, that is NOT the stock intercooler. The stock one is thinner and has plastic end chambers.Comment

Edit: Here are two images of the 90TSI. The first just the engine looking at the intake manifold. When seeing it from the front you can see that there is a "metal block" exposed.
