They say that it doesn't come with a spare tyre and only an inflation kit, when it does have a space saver. They talk about a "Sport" function of the ESP which "when engaged" allows more slip and slide before it interferes, when there is no such thing (The sport button next to the esp button is obviously the ACC button and also has "comfort" written on it). Finally, they say that the BMW 135i is manual only, when it's been long available in a "sports automatic" and is soon to be available in a Dual Clutch Transmission (or DCT in BMW speak). !!!

on another note... it has got to a point again for me that Volkswagen have failed with there colour options in the interior. Why can bascially every other car manufacturer in the world offer some degree of palette to the interior and Volkswagen dismiss this... it was basically a deal breaker when i bought my MKV and on the R, i am very dissappointed and has stopped me jumping over the line...

i dont know you siutation or how your buying the car but if there is some kind of finance etc, its a tiny amount extra in the loan to get leather and tbh probably better later with wear/tear and resale...
youll learn quick the power upgrade arent like Jap cars... throwing an exhaust doesnt really help unless its a TBE and if you do that, then you need a retune because of a Cell etc... modding a late model VW adds up very quickly when modding... my advice is just get a retune.. it is like day and night from standard... if you feel you need more later, intake doesnt do anything really but makes noise!!! DPs are basically the next step for power increase etc..
Which dealer are you speaking too??

Originally posted by ccoops79 View PostMy biggest problem would be selecting colour. I like:
1. Rising Blue with Silver 19's
2. United Grey with Black 19's
3. White with Black 19's

Originally posted by Maverick View PostUsing your logic you should buy a base model. After all it already has seats, wheels, a headunit, speakers and so on. Looks like your dilemma has been solved.

Hey guys, I'm going to pick up my R from Canberra tommorrow. I will be driving it back to Sydney. It has Recaro's so i'll let you guys know how the seats are after a 3+ hour drive. I'm a bit concerned on running the engine in on the highway, I guess if I constantly keep it under load and vary the revs it should be allright. Any suggestions?2010 Golf R 3dr, United Grey, DSG, Recaro's , ACC, APR stage 1
