I have std leather in my R and these seats are still a little tight for me so could have gone the Recaro's anyway. they do look great. A bugger to get in and out of but comfortable when you are in them.

The Motorsport Seats are Heated that is fact. I have felt the heat coming from them my self. I don't have one to look at now cause she is sold and leaves to sunny sydney on thursday to one lucky watercooled person. Have ordered a number of RRRRRRRRRRRRRrRsssss with Motorsport seats though in 3 and 5 door as well as in DSG and Man..

I went and saw Phillip Fairhall from Gerald Slaven Belconnen today, and after my wife had a test drive to confirm that she's happy with the ride comfort, I'll be putting a deposit on my Golf R tomorrow. Phillip has come up with an awesome deal for me, I highly recommend that anyone in the market for a Volkswagen give him a call.
Specs: 5 door, DSG, Rising Blue, ACC, RNS510+Dynaudio, Leather, Electric driver's seat, MDI, MY11 Bluetooth, Sunroof, RVC.
Is it heresy to put a stainless steel loading sill protector on a Golf R?MY11 Rising Blue 5dr DSG Golf R

On the topic of Leather seats vs. Recaros, I have looked at a lot of pictures online with the 2, I must say, I noticed that the leather on the leather seats seems to stretch quite badly leaving the seats looking old and used in a very short period of time. Does anyone else notice that? I am hoping the Recaros with the "microfibre" centre would have less of that...but I am still undecided between the two.

I've now convinced myself that I want them and have to have them...but NOT until I can test them out first. I really hate this place, that $2k could have been spent at APR!

Everyone druels over the seats later on and after market prices are ridiculous from spare parts... Considering the standard leather seat aren't 'great' for 3300 i think they are worth the extra. Anyway even if you didn't find them 100% comfortable you would be swap them for stock seats + cash in a heart beat.

But for the record the standard R seats ARE great. The question is if the recaros are better. And there is no chance in hell I'm buying a 60k car to have some monkey swapping seats. The way it comes is the way it stays (except for ECU maybe)!

I'd say that is the car posted in earlier posts already purchased. I might have to meet up with that person as my only option. I'm 5'9 and under 70kg so recaros might just be a perfect fit....
