Just looking at the specs in your signature - could be the Dynaudio taking up the space back there or one of the other options. I don't know details of what changes some of the options do.

He doesn't have Dynaudio but it could be the ACC system taking up that space.

I checked with Guy and his is an 09 build with a pocket, so must be the ACC then.

Damn, I'm going to have to rip out my ACC so I can fit a first aid kit in the back.

I guess they have to put it somewhere.

You could get some under seat drawers.

I noticed the car doesn't have a net on the underside of the parcel 'shelf', could be more cost cutting.. Not that I used it in the last car.

I was under the impression the new GTI's came with the net? I'm pretty sure it's on the spec sheet.

My car didn't come with any nets. Under the parcel shelf or on the floor. I bought the plastic boot tub.

If I was supposed to get a net for free, then I'll be speaking with the dealer. Maybe they took it out when the tub went in, but not sure. Thought it might be an accessory.

The net isn't removable without replacing the parcel shelf.

It probably doesn't come with the mk6 then and would be in line with cost cutting.

I was referring to the floor net when I thought I may have been stiffed. It seems like more of an accessory than a standard feature though.

Yeah was referring to the net under the shelf. The floor net is an accessory (mine was $90 from the dealer).
