Ohh sorry, which video?? Both of the videos i have realized show that same panel at the same time! hahaha, if its first video, those three microphone looking things on the front of it, are motion sensors for the inside of the car, so if someone breaks in or someone try's to open a window somehow, it will sense that motion and alarm will go RING RING RING, jokes, it'll just go off

          • I'm talking about the panel near the main interior light panel which has a star, a spanner and something else.

I dont have them in my 2010 sunroof equipped GTI.

That's the MY11 Bluetooth (9ZB, though that panel is also featured in other VW bluetooth kits).

              • I've got those in my MY11.5 R. The star is for the voice activation (phone calls, controlling the RNS510 system etc), the spanner is meant to allow you to call roadside assist through your phone with the touch of a button (haven't even looked at how to configure that yet). Not sure if there is anything else? I'll have a look when I get back in it later.

                • Thanks for the headsup.

I've got the star on my nav unit so I guess if I had the BT retrofitted it'd come in handy.

                  • Nice if they brought the R line Gti to Australia instead.

                    Xenons with DRL
                    Carbon fiber rear diffuser
                    Carbon fiber interior inserts
Wheels - same as Adidas version
                    Stock GTi interior

For an extra 2500 Euro over the standard GTi price.

some ghosting left on the plastic, but not too bad apart from the fact that my car now smells like freaking eucalyptus oil lol..

update - bought some turtle wax scratch remover - seemed to do the trick of removing the subtle scratch/ghosting left from removing badges.

Hey , man....Any secrets or clues as to how to de-badge without damage? Use a plastic scraper or something similar to get under the tape? Whats with the eucalyptus oil? Does it soften the glue on the tape?

(Don't have one yet, but don't like the badges either, and someone will try to steal them....)

                        • The debadge method most people use is a hair dryer/heat gun/hot water and fishing wire. You need to be careful with the heat application that it's not so hot that it causes any damage. You then basically run the fishing wire behind the badge and pry it off.

Eucalyptus Oil is good for removing most forms of glue residue. Put some on a soft cotton cloth (or old tshirt) or even microfibre cloth, and then hold that against the residue for a minute or so, then gently agitate the residue off.

As Vaku mentioned, he then used some Turtle Wax scratch remover to get rid of the ghosting/light scratches left behind. I've never used that product before - but use common sense as to which product you should purchase and use depending on what surface you're debadging from! E.g. don't use a paint cut/polish on the gloss plastic trim as you'll just leave a dull tarnished finish.

                          • Anyone figure out how to use the seat heaters in the adidas? I know all the documentation says the seats have them but there seems to be no controls in my adidas to activate them.

                            Comment

                            • Press the button in the middle of the temp control for the appropriate seat.
First press is on full, next press lowers the temp, another press lowers it more, next press turns it back off again.

If you don't have those buttons, you don't have heated seats.

                              • Nope no seat icons in the middle buttons and don't click in. Does that mean they are lying by saying the adidas seats are heated?
