Seat heaters are only fitted to cars with leather seats. According to Redbook, Heated Seats - 1st Row are standard, but the full Vienna Leather is still optional.

Presumably if you don't have full leather and don't have the seat heater buttons, then seat heaters are only fitted in conjunction with the full leather.

Hey there. I have a adidas GTI too, and yes, they DONT have heated seats. It does say on the brochure that they do have heated seats, but i guess they changed it. So no they are not really lying about it

Im not even sure if one exists, when I purchased mine I asked for a brochure and they (denlo) said it didn't exist, and just provided me with a list of features (bi-xenon, R led's etc)

I could be wrong, hope so.. would like to have the brochure if it exists.

          • Yeah, I asked because I too hadn't seen a brochure for the Adidas either...

Having said that, the initial information provided to me when the RRP was announced, did say that it included heated seats. The press shots also included heated seats with the "Adidas cloth". But then, it also had the steering wheel on the wrong side

            • There was a brochure which you can get off volkaswagens website if you click on models then golf. In the middle there is three smaller pictures inside a big picture of a golf, one of which is the adidas and says register your interest here. If you click that and give your email details it takes you to a page where u can download the brochure. All the cars advertised on carsales are also wrong about the heated seats then too.

              • Cheers. You guys are correct, it says individually heated front seats in botht he specifications and the flyer. You should contact your dealer.

For everyone else, here are the direct links:
                Golf GTI Adidas Specifications
                Golf GTI Adidas Flyer

                • A friend of mine works for a dealer and he told me that there is an updated version of the specs which doesn't mention the heated seats anymore. A look at the actual car proof that they don't have it. The website must not have been updated yet.

                  • Yes, but I downloaded that information today, and anyone else who clicks on those links can see that even today, it still says that there are heated seats. It doesn't matter if VW revise the specs now, the cars were sold to these guys with that feature listed, and not delivered. They should talk to their dealer. I don't think it'll result in them receiving heated seats - but some acknowledgement should be provided...

                    • The website has shows the updated flyer as well - I just checked.

                      • What about all the dealer listed cars on car sales that have 1st row seating heated as a feature?

It is annoying as this was one of the features that I believed justified the higher price of the adidas.

Yes, the website has been updated today since my post at 8:39am...

If you guys ever wondered if VW are watching these forums... then there is your answer

FYI, the "Flyer" I downloaded this morning was 2173KB and the one I downloaded two minutes ago is 6630KB! The info is the same (except for the removal of heated seats), the PDF has just been compressed differently.
The "Specs" link isn't working for me yet though...

Edit: And returning to the official VW.com.au website then going through the "registering my interest" for the Adidas again now shows that the button to download the specifications has been removed - again, this has only happened this morning as a result of this thread....

                              • Damn. The link to the flyer works, but as Corey said, the other is done and dusted.

Even worse, I have to wait till Monday to get my Gti. Here's hoping everything goes well - dealer had people away sick so it may make things problematical. Also have to get the lease company to finalise things, which they've said will happen Monday mornings.
