Colour choices...GTI specific ?

Schwarz is a non metallic black, code A1A1, and is not available in Australia on any car or van. It's a shocker, very dull and impossible to keep clean. Deep Black Pearl is far nicer, as is Black Magic Pearl.

Thanks for the heads-up... Kinda wish we could get a few more colours here in Aust - wouldn't be too difficult for VW either seeing as most of the cars bought by the people in here seem to be custom builds anyway..

You would think that custom builds would be allowed to have factory provided colours.
Seems a bit rediculous that you are limited to 5 "colours"

You could always get a vinyl wrap in any colour.
Carbon fibre pattern or matte black would look pretty neat.

When I bought my GTI they had one Tornado Red and one Deep Pearl Black on the lot...ended up getting the Black - I must have walked back and forth between the two for 20 mins trying to decide after being set on a red one, but am happy with what I chose

Yeah - I agree, I think that it seems very strange that you can't specify any colour you want if it needs to come from a factory, as long as you're happy to wait until the 'next batch' of that colour is done.

As for matte black - I saw a MKV GTI in South Korea in matte black when I was there recently. Looked pretty cool.

Red was my second choice but they didn't have blue.

Now that I have it I now love the colour and the fact that so few like it that means it won't be so "common"

That's true, i haven't seen many red VW GTIs around actually. i'm glad the majority are buying the CW and CSG hahaha.

Yeah I was at Denlo a week ago and saw all the red GTIs. They did have one black one with black VW motorsport rims. It looked hot! I wish I had my camera with me to take a photo.

Ah...give me a choice of cool greens any day! A nice green, not a washed out, or toy green...similar to the (dare I say it) Ford green...or orange on the XR5 (ST).
