Mk6 LED Taillights

Mr fox, I have checked my car and the tails light go off when the headlights are off even when DRLs are activated.

Do you recall if the stock tails went off or stayed on? if they went off, then my guess is the coding should fix it. If you have some spare time maybe swap them back and check (unless anyone else can confirm). I cannot remember if mine went off or stayed on before coding.

Sorry for the late reply Golitup, stock tails have been on since I left your place the same night..(swapped R tails straight away)
Anyway, stock tails are on regardless? Headlights on, off or auto?

I'm about to make a purchase of the LED taillights so is it confirmed to work properly with xenons? Mine's a 2010 build car.

Coding 15 - Check fog light error
Coding 43 - Check front day time running light error
Coding 4 - No errors, but city lights very dim

Coding 22 - Perfect no errors, all lights the right brightness and inner taillight goes off when hatch is open

Nah i originally enquired to ecs about their ones but they are lhd on the site, you can order the set individually but it comes up over $1000usd.

Central Electrics Revision*: 0573 or 0575
Headlights: Bi-Xenon
OPTION 1 (definitely works for some; ref this post and this post):
- Coding (hex): 15
- Coding (binary): 00010101
OPTION 2 (advised by one supplier; doesn't work for some):
- Coding (hex): 43
- Coding (binary): 01000011

So... probably. Depends on your Central Electrics revision.

couldnt figure out where to post this so i thought this would be as good as any other thread...
My brother in-law wants some LED running lights for his Pirelli so i was searching around on ebay but couldnt really find anything that sparked interest
Anyone know where i can source some of these and have them installed? or is this something i could DIY easily? (i'm not the most competent in the world)

Hey mate,

As the Pirelli's a Mk5, you're probably better off searching through that forum, and posting there if you can't find anything. But I've seen a number of Mk5s driving around here in SA with LED running lights, so they're obviously available.

I had a quick check of ECS Tuning; they have quite a few options available.
