BT & MDI are standard for MY2012 golfs only!

MDI and BT are standard on the MY12 models - I think this one is a MY11.5.

Have called around but it is really hard to find a car with the right options and in the right colour that is in stock.

Don't really want to wait 4-6 months either

Unfortunately that is the hard compromise.. I ordered and waited 9 months but throughout rang around all Australian dealers trying to find my config , or something close and the challenge was price.. just how far away have you rung

Thats the way it is. I rang around for ages trying to find my preferred options. I couldn't wait in the end and made a compromise. Something I totally don't regret at all.

Hey guys, im new here and stumbled across this forum.. I've always had STI's and imports but the Girlfriend wanted a Golf so we have just ordered a GTI my12 model.. after test driving both.. I decided to go manual..? I liked the DSG, but didnt like how it would automatically shift when you try and give it some..

I hope manual is still a good choice .. :S ??

Anyhow, I got the car for $42k, drive away with 18inch detroits and it arrives off the boat around the 10th of august..

basically, I just got the manual, 5 door, candy white with 18inch detroits.. could i have got it much cheaper or is this the lowest? they wanted 46.5-47k...

anyway, we are looking forward to the car! they are great inside! and seem like a really good car! im kind of spewing that i didnt chose the LED/Bi-xenon lights.. but I couldnt justify the 2 grand for them..

i got my gti from the gc and paid 44k - same spec and colour but with dsg so you are right on the money. sydney can be cheaper due to more competition but gc was a lot sharper on price compared to brisbane city

sweet, I regret not trying to get the bi-xenons thrown in for the price.. i didnt even know about them to be honest..but im guessing they would have turned my offer down anyway.. I just hope the manual doesnt mean the car is "****", and will hopefully be able to re-sell it down the track when I can afford a R!

If the Golf 6 takes ~4 months to build, and yours is coming in August, then someone must've ordered that spec some time ago - so if you really wanted xenons then you might've had to wait a lot longer. Congrats on the order.

it goes both ways with a manual - harder to sell as more people want a dsg but you might find someone who eally wants a manual so you might get a easy sell. who did you deal with at gc vw?

Candy white with nice tint and the detroits looks awesome. You'll be happy when you pick it up. I always think about price, but trust me, the only time you'll think about it is now and the time you get the keys. As soon as you drive out of the dealership you won't think about it once again

Good deal , got mine in june sale , was arriving 2/6 manual , you will love it , very slick box , dont worry plenty of old school guys will seek out a manaul , had no trouble shifting my manual trade .

Best bit about the 18 detroits, is the easiest wheels i have ever had to clean .
