I actually quite like it. Had that round one in my R32 so it's good they've updated it. Didn't like the pimpled one in the Adidas edition.

Seems like an update just for an update IMO.

They should have just used this new DSG shifter in the base models to replace the "T-Bar" shifter, and left the round shifter for the GTI/GTD/R models. Oh well :/

Found the thread really helpful and looking to dip into the market for my first GTi. Currently in a 118Tsi. Any thoughts on whether sub-45k drive away in Vic is a good target for a GTi with minimal options (Detroits, MDI, bluetooth)? Have corporate discount. Not looking to wait so will need to deal with what's in stock.

Any help appreciated.

I got a 3dr man with mdi and bt with some minor accessories for a bit over $40k driveaway. Is the detroits a must? U can pick then up with tyres 2nd hand for around $2k
