Yeah - I know what you mean... it's hard to believe that they're only 17's! They do look fantastic. Plus, it's going to come out WAAAAAY cheaper than even optioning Detroits from the factory!
You must all paint them flouro yellow or lime green or something
Lol - yeah, well, I might not be painting them fluro yellow or lime green, but I'd be tempted to get them painted in the matching colour of the bodyword - particularly if you had carbon steel grey metallic, deep black pearl effect, or even tornado red!
lol, yeah so ok, having the interior of the wheels painted in red to match the body is SOOOO 1980's Porsche 911 - but hey, that's the era that I started to love cars!
I think even a shadow chrome colour or a smoked grey. This is such an easy thing to do yourself, and doesnt evn need to have teh tyres off the rim, given that the colour at the lip is not being changed.
all you need is something to scuff the paint on the inner, some good quality paint of course (can be purchased in a can)some blue trimming tape (really flexible and thin to create the mask off), block out material, and a lot of patience. and even more patience with the non-yellowing clear coat.
I've done something similar with a set of Rare Momo Vega's...(but with proper 2 pak and gun) was contemplating doing same with the VW...
went to a dealer in victoria today and was offered a deal at $53k driveaway with the following options:
18" wheels
Xenons
Leather
MDI
Park assist
i was prepared to sign, tried to strike a better deal but the dealer refused to budge? He even told me that the price is very reasonable. Any opinions?

It would help if you actually told us the car you were ordering! LOL
Like if that's a MK6 GTI with 5 doors and DSG, then the discount is around 8.6%. If it has Metallic Paint as well, the discount is around 9.4%
Neither of these are figures to be upset about.
So I think the price is very reasonable.
But that's with the assumptions I've made since you didn't tell us what you were ordering
As for what nau said - there is no way in hell you'd get that for "well under $50k" if it is infact a 5 door with DSG.

Sorry, my bad for not listing the other details. Yep, its a 5 door with DSG. However, it is a white, so no metallic paint.
8.6% is not the best we've ever seen, but it's also nothing to be upset about either.
You can try going to another dealer to see whether you're able to negotiate better with them (although, don't play the dealers off each other, that's just tacky). But I couldn't blame a dealer for not wanting to move beyond what they've offered.

With EOFY sale on now with no stamp duty, rego, ctp and dealer delivery that should have come out cheaper?
