Golf GTI Mark VI Specifications and Prices

Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy a GTI in a few months time and have been browsing the forums in anticipation / research. I have inquired for some quotes to get an idea of how much its going to cost me.

Obviously the second quote is much better, so at the moment that is my benchmark. Keeping in mind the above quotes are just enquiries, i should be able to haggle the price down a bit further yeah?

Quote 2 RRP on the road would be about $48150, so you're getting about a $5650 discount, which is about 11.7%. So that's already a damn good deal!

Have to agree with Coreying great deal on Option 2, you may be able to push a few $100 more but it may not really be worth the effort.

Yup - dont see you moving anything more than $100-200 more on that. Try and get the MDI CABLE thrown in also. RRP $70-$90.

This might be a stupid question.. but i'm gonna ask it as I am not sure.

Does getting a Corporate Discount mean you HAVE to lease the car? Or can you get the discount and do finance / pay outright?

Sek - you don't need to lease it. Paying it all off or financing it is fine. I got corp disc and will be paying for it. So no dramas.

Corp discount is based on whether your employer is part of their corporate program.

Nice spec without getting carried away, I'd probably go someting similar but would add the badge camera, costs more to add later and a lot of mucking around. RNS510 can be added later too but would consider it from the factory if it was 2500 or less..

That's incorrect. The Rear view camera is available with either the RCD-510 (not sat nav) or RNS-510 (sat nav).
Both of those are options in the regular Golfs, but it just so happens that the RCD-510 is standard in the GTI and (presumably) R.
