Is there really such thing as factory fitted towbar ?

The wife an I really liked the Jacky interior with the Candy White ,with the red and white stitch in the seat's really matches the red trim on the outside .
Not fussed with metallic/mica paints and if I can't park a Golf i shouldn't be driving .

Yeah I agree the Park Assist would be fun but you'd prob use it once or twice and then never again, more of a sales/show piece.

I prefer the Jackie too, much nicer than the plain old leather, and had I had patience I probably would have specced the car a bit more, but I bought off the lot.

Not sure about the Sun roof though, had them before, and the wifes car has one and we never use it, just another way of getting sun burnt IMO.

But the car will be sweet.

It's pretty damn big that's for sure.

My car was $57k without corporate discount - not entitled to one. This car is $51k with corporate discount.

The main differences between the two cars are; Leather for $3k, Park Assist for $1500 and the corporate discount of about $1500.

Camera on his and Metallic on mine cancel each other out. So it's on about par with my own discount except the toe bar puts it over.

Bit jealous are we mate, trying to talk up your big arse discount... lol

I think its got more to do with having the factory fitted wiring loom not having the wiring retro fitted .

We were looking at a Passat ,if I got the Passat I would have orderded the Park Assist .We have leather & S/roof in the 04 Maxima at the moment and
the roof gets opened once a month but someone might like the S/R
in the GTi when it comes time to sell .

I don't know what happend went into Vdub to buy a Passat to replace the Maxima test drove the 2l turbo ,125kw diesel and the V6 4 motion and came out with a GTi ,maybe it has something to do with the wife turning 40 last year ,I'll blame her .Kids are 12 & 15 so no need for buster seats anymore .

Nice, looking forward to the no booster seats one day, sons only almost 2 and we will be having another when we finish our house.

So we have my GTI and the wife has a Volvo s60 MY01 (yes I know) and wants to replace it with the XC90 later this year so we have room for the kids.

Give me 15 years and we'll have two nice 'fun' cars in the drive.....

It all depends, not sure what the mud flaps, door sill, trim and mats are worth but looking at the rest the on the road cost in NSW is $43,400sih for that spec so say that the extra stuff is worth another $2K means that you end up with around 6% off which is nice but not earth shattering, now if you have DDSG in lieu of manual which you dont say thats another $2500 and would see a discount overall of around 11% which is about spot on I'd say.

Just joined vwwatercooled recently while I was looking into pricing for new GTI. Have just paid deposit on the following - how does this deal sound:

$49,500 driveaway incl corporate discount.

Above spec was one of the cars already on dealer's orders list so expecting mid April delivery.

Welcome mate - price sounds good.

You might read of higher discounts, but just remember its usually dependant on the number of options you select.
