We are only trying to use the thread for what it is designed finding out what others have paid before us. It is just a pitty I did not buy before New year.

Any body got any quotes lately. I got one for black gti five door with dsg 18 inch and leather and $48371 drive away that is with corp plus discount.

Normally $52949.

I don think it is very good, any thoughts

Is there a similar thread for 'R' pricing?

Went and took both the GTI and R for a drive today - but I've been quoted (not having sat down) obviously fairly standard pricing of $48k for the GTI and ~ $59k for the R (DSG in both cases).

I'd ideally like to option it with Sunroof + Leather; but could do without either (and I'm still not sure on cloth vs. leather yet).

Hi everyone, long time follower but only recently joined the forums as its time to changed cars.
I recently went to test drive a 2012 Black Gti Manual at 9000km mileage [detroits, satnav, tartan] selling for $36911 drive away by the dealers. Is that a great price to buy it at considering the mk7 is a few weeks/months away? i'm not exceptionally fussed about the newest model since i drove about 500-1000km/week and spending close to 50grand on a new gti just doesn't seem that worth it to me. Whats everyone's advice on this? Take the 36k GTi? (I'm super happy with it but the partner has asked me to wait for the mk7 gti since she drives the mk7 golf and reckons its more spacious for me, as i'm a 6ft2 bloke). thanks for everyone's advice in advance.

Given it is a size issue your missus has pointed out I would take it seriously

Look if a new car isnt that important to you and this sounds like a decent proposition then you wont be dissapointed. Take it for a run and if there is a space issue which there wont be because if I remember there is more headroom in the mk6.

Pretty good price and specs , same height and I have zero problems .

Nice low mileage should be still tight and very nice to drive with those km's per week .

Purchasing a brand new/demo MK6 DSG GTI/GTD in sydney during november/december

Hey all,
I was involved in an accident with my daily driving car couple days ago, where it seems to be a write off.
I was T-boned by someone who ran through a stop sign, so was completely blindsided and my front driver side wheel/frontbumper is all moulded to one haha

But all is safe and well, so onto my new task.
I was hoping to see if anybody has recently bought a brand new or demo MKVI GTI/GTD from a dealership in october/november of 2013 in Sydney?
and any assistance on pricing you were able to achieve. I know it may be hard with the MKVI's being phased out (I bought my golf R new in March and they were already running the IVs out then) so not sure if many are still hanging around at dealerships at the moment.

I have been given a quote by barloworld for a demo UG grey DSG GTI with detroits, leather and reverse camera for $38990 drive away and seems pretty good as is.

any one who can help with anything else it would be greatly appreciated thanks!
