Anyone? I need to know if this is a good price before I go any further.

Can only quote based on NSW on roads but here in NSW that spec would be $50,900 on the road, so based on a $46K purchase thats a 9% discount which is good but not great.

Up to you if you want to push any further, if you do you'd prob want to look at a price between $45 and $46K for that spec, or ask them to throw in something else for free such as tint or MDI.

I recieved a price on a GTI, 5 Door, Black metallic paint, DSG, sunroof.

$46,000 drive away.

Does this seem like a good deal?

I have ordered my TSI and put down the deposit. The car should be delivered in 1.5 week time. Didn't try to steal accessories from the dealer. Now I really want a set of roof racks. The market price is about $200. Is it possible to steal racks at this stage? Anyone has any experience of talking to get more accessories after a contract's been signed?

Deal is done. Extras are to get you to make the deal.

I already put deposit down yesterday so I could secure a car that will be in stock in two weeks Just wanted to see how I went with the deal.

I was hoping to get a deal from the dealer for a window tint but I guess it's probably to late as well

I got my front window tints and boot tub (around $500 worth) after I'd signed the contract. However - I paid almost full price for a fully-spec'ed GTI. This is why the dealer was feeling generous. If you turned the thumbscrews pre-signed, I wouldn't expect much. But you can see that it is possible.

Another angle.... use post-sales servicing as an incentive.
