Folding Mirrors

Hi this might be a dumb question, but can you fold the exterior mirrors back on a mk6,....... My garage is very tight,

i really wish we got electronic folding mirrors on the mk6 in AUS...Its the only "I wish my mk6 had" for me
i hope at least the GTI gets it..

Electric folding mirrors in GTI?

Hi i was just wondering if the GTI exterior mirrors have the electric folding mirrors?

I know its not standard, sadly, not sure if its offered as an option on the AUS model(s), but they have it in the US and UK so it may be possible if you ask?!?

Standard on the NZ spec GTI and R. Well I believe so according to that PDF on the VW.co.nz site.

I read thru the manual last week and unfortch, no folding mirrors.

We miss out on quiet a bit of functionality here in Oz, like the mirrors folding and the passenger mirror auto adjusting to look at the curb when reverse is selected, then back again when done.

My Golf has the dipping LH Mirror. It is part of the reverse camera/parking assist pack

Thanks for the quick replies. Yeah it's shame we don't get the folding mirrors as my garage is small and it'll make it easier to park inside.

Yet we get the 510 head unit and cruise control standard here yet it is optional in other markets. Even NZ gets the 310 headunit as standard in the GTI.

Agreed, that is one thing I regret with my GTI... it would be an awesome feature too for city folk parking on the street.
