Nothing official yet. Speculation suggests last quarter of 2009 or first quarter of 2010.

Thinking about going down to dealer and getting in line for a CW 3 door, any advice on what to do to get on the waitlist?
Depending on the size of deposit needed I may need to wait till after I get back from an overseas holiday.

I'd say the same, if not 1k difference either way, especially considering that the MKVI models are virtually unchanged in price to the MKV's.

It is on the VW UK web site http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/#/new/golf-gti-vi/ prices accessories the lot, though the brochure is not yet available on the site.

German release is in the next day or so, rest of Europe will be starting deliveries after Easter.

Any rough idea on price? I'm finalised my purchasing date to November 2009 to buy it so should I be looking at the MK5 GTI or the MK6? (value for money wise)

Right hand drive will be available for delivery in the UK from the 22nd of May 2009.

Australia is still on target for Q4 2009 I believe.

Have a look at the UK VW site. You can spec and even order the MK6 GTI now.

Unless you pay $30K for a MK5 GTI (new) right now, I'd wait for the MK6.
