          Guy, if you can't tell us what they were for, can you at least tell us which engine they were for, 90, 103, 118... so we make sure we can upgrade...

                Guy, How will that work on the 118TSI with DSG?

                The 7 speed DSG is only rated to 240Nm, & that' what it puts out already.

                  No problems at all with that new DSG at all, we have the information we require on the DSG box & will be working on the engine management this week.

                  We have been working all week on the MKV DSG 1.4 twincharger - excellent results so far

                      Any advanced info on power/torque figures? My car won't be here till late June/early July. That's 09 apparently....

                        Will know some more at the end of next week - we are just wrapping up the MKV 125kw twincharger tuning & then we will see how different the 118kw version is.

                        Will also be a good comparison of the two cars - stock vs stock on our dyno.

                            Problem with all those numbers is they are just numbers - I mean, there is no reference to rpm range for power and torque.

                            The 90 engine gets a nice boost, but if the hefty 280 torques don't start till 3500rpm it wouldn't be too good.

                            The Upsolute tune for the MKV GTI seems conservative, only going to 240hp and 350nm, so one would assume they have a conservative approach to the 90 engine as well.

                            Could be some wild numbers from a 1.4 engine soon

                              How did you go with the tuning of the mk VI twincharger... Are there any/many updates to this engine since the mk V, and how well does it respond to tuning from your research?
                              I am sure a few new golf VI owners would be very interested in an update..

                                All done Gulliver - they are just finishing the final marketing details & it will be released. Good gains from the 118TSI - very impressed with how the whole 118tsi package goes together!
