I was changing my oil last week and when I got under the car I noticed a little droplet of fluid under the DSG metal housing. Poking around I couldn't really figure out how it got exactly there and It didn't seem like a huge leak.
The fluid didn't smell like engine oil rather like nothing really.
I wiped it all down like someone else suggested on another thread and came back today to find the droplet was back in the same spot.
I'm now wondering what I do next. Which parts should I be checking in depth and has anyone had the same leak droplet location before?
Also, will the DSG protect itself if the fluid gets too low? Will it show an error on the MFD or will it eventually go into limp mode whilst I'm driving? I don't have a scanner as well but I don't think it would tell me the level right?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
