Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Ongoing EPC and check engine light

    hi all,
I am sorry if my post is not in the right category.
    I have a serious problem.
    I own a vw polo ,only 47000km
My car has been to Vw repair centre in perth 8 times during theast 6 times.
Basically, car starts vibrating and loses power and EPC and CEL is on.
Last time VW had my car for 3 weeks. I picked it up yesterday and same thing happened this morning. EPC and CEL IS BACK. I waited 6 hours and started the car. EPC is gone , car has more power when i accelerate

They have been telling me , cylinder 4 misfire, they changed the sparks, coil pack, lead, new battery, cleaned the carbon but problem is still there.
I just cant understand why they cant find the issue.can anyone help me on this.
    Thanks
