Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • MK6 Tsi 1.4 CAXA Transmission Limp mode

    Hey team,

Hoping some of you experts might be able to help me out as with my limited scan resources google isn't really helping me at all.

I have a 2009 mk6 golf tsi 1.4 90kw, I've been having issues with it going into transmission limp mode semi intermittently, I have just recieved the vehicle back after returning it to the useless used dealership and it was fine for 200km but has now re entered limp mode. I don't have access to vagcom or whatever to get a real scan so I went to supercheap auto for a basic scan and got a whole list of fault codes.

As I understand a lot of these codes are basically useless generic codes but I wanted to post them up here in hopes that the fact that all of these codes have appeared is a sign of something specific.

    Gateway 3.0

Does this ring any bells for anyone? Has anyone had transmission limp issues before and solved them?

I'm really at a loss for where to go next, and I'm not particularly comfortable with wiring and testing these issues just to make it worse haha

Any advice would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

Edit: Just remembered I should probably add that I have had no engine lights at all.
